Software dev for the proposed balloon3 comes on apace. Below is a mail I have to linux-arm-kernel and kernel-discuss at handhelds. I have skinny2 root (90% busybox softlinks plus /lib ) running with a usb keyboard running on an lcd colour panel with virtual consoles etc. The audio is really good, wifi runs, madplay, timidity .. mc, less ..... Nick -------------------------------------------------- Here is a patch for the 2.1 revision of the Intel Mainstone pxa27x board that enables flash ROM (24MB partition size, adjust to taste), pcmcia, audio and usb-master. The MMC driver is set up to run ok but seems to generate a torrent of unhandled interrupts. Perhaps someone can tweak this if the fix is obvious. I'll look at it again next week if there are no suggestions. Nico's version of pcmcia does emphatically not drive my board (and would actively fail even if the bootloader had set sensible defaults) though he said it worked fine on his. How many variants are there? Mine is a recent delivery and has a sticker with "Rev. C" added to the main board. I guess MontaVista's might be an early one (Nico?). The file is 18k zipped and to be found at http://husaberg.toby-churchill.com/balloon/patches/patch-linux-2.6.9-rc2-tcl1-20040923.gz Nick Bane ----------------------- Nick Bane nick@cecomputing.co.uk +44 (0)1954 719270
