For anyone interested

There is the first cut of an RTC driver for 2.6.8.1 at http:/husaberg.toby-churchill.com/balloon

Currently it supports hwclock on /dev/rtc for getting/setting the time. No irq/alarms yet but that should be straightforward.

The balloon_rtc.c file is in the drivers/rtc/chips directory but it will probably end up in drivers/char soon.

2.4.25 backport will probably follow over the weekend.
