Can you comment on what pieces I need to use to do remote debugging with gdb from my machine? I downloaded the gdb from another arm site, but loading it along with the libncurses5 wouldn't work, so I removed (ipkg remove) them and corrupted my balloon board root filesystem. (Lets not do that again.) Do you have a copy of the gdb that works on the balloon board through the console? ---------- Forwarded Message ---------- Subject: [Balloon] Re: debuggers Date: Wednesday 02 March 2005 5:55 pm From: Wookey To: balloon@balloonboard.org +++ Glen VanMilligan [05-03-02 16:56 -0600]: > Is there a debugger I can use to view the stack and heap on the balloon > processes? gdb is the normal one. Also ddd if you want a nicer interface. You can run these on your desktop and connect to the balloon over serial or the net, or you can run them on the balloon itself. pre-built arm binaries are available from debian.org. local x86 versions will be part of your normal distro.
