.. and the mainstone usb mass storage installation is recognised by WinXP pro playing a 2MB "Crazy Frog" mp3 without a stutter.

It is however interpreted as a fixed drive and not removable storage but thats claimed to be adjustable at runtime via insmod module parameters.
