There are a lot of whinges in the normal boot, but you may indeed have more now. > So I think it might be best to try installing a new root file system and > start again from there. > > Which means I need to hassle Wookey (or someone) for which files I need to grab. The files supplied on 205g balloons are here: http://balloonboard.org/files/205g/ But you already have ones newer than that. There are also images on husaberg (aimed at TCL balloons which have a different set of hardware), but that's the best source of kernels. Alternatively (as you have a login) you can look on courthouse.aleph1.co.uk:/home/aleph1/balloon/2.052 which is a slightly updated version of the same thing including download scripts and tools. The missing wiki used to tell you all how to do this. I really must find the time to put the info back in the new version. The short version is 'peruse fillballoon.sh' You just need the last two stages for uploading kernel and rootfs using xmodem or ymodem.
