Ok, I've looked at this a bit more; In balloon.h I have: #define PARAMS_FILE "/boot/boot.conf" I'm going to assume that this means partition=boot file=boot.conf, if that isn't correct then thats probably my problem because I don't have a /boot/boot.conf in my root file system. Now PARAMS_FILE is only used in 2 places and only one of them is a read, in command_params_load. There are no direct calls to that, but since it's a "command" I assume there is some other way of invoking it which I haven't found. Can someone detail the path through the code for the linux-boot sequence or otherwise explain how it's supposed to work.
