I've just finished merging the changes in the cpld-register-remap branch into trunk. The main thing in this is Chris Jones' variable latency support in the vhdl so that the samosa bus can drive the flash at full speed whilst also driving slower devices like minipug displays successfully (as opposed to running the bus at the speed of the slowest thing plugged in). This is an incompatible change so you need matching cpld/fpga code, bootloader and kernel or nothing much will happen. Stick with the v0.9 release from a acouple of months back if you don't want this. It's actally been pretty-well tested on TCL boards, so shouldn't be a big deal. The core team has all been using this branch was actual work recently. The merge also includes IRQ support on Samosa, Podpoint support (quad serial, new display, light sensor, few other bits and bobs). Meanwhile Nick Bane moved the patches forward to kernel 2.6.31-rc4 at Debconf and _almost_ got a recent buildroot working, along with ubifs. The variable latency support is only in 2.6.29.1 currently. Hopefully we'll find time to merge it into the 2.6.31 patchset and check it works there too shortly. Yaffs has been moved on to 'last week' due to the horrible 'rmdir -f' bug. The default build is now armel for everyone. OABI Arm support will probably start to bitrot from about now. I still have some emdebian rootfs changes pending check-in which will appear as soon as they work properly. These remove the need for the deeply crufty balloon3-config package. As soon as all this stabilises it'll get called 1.0 (wooo!) Enjoy. Wookey -- Principal hats: iEndian - Balloonboard - Toby Churchill - Emdebian http://wookware.org/
