Guess what? Now I have the modprobe problem that Charles reported a few days ago. So at least I've reproduced that. Happens with both 2.6.29 and 2.6.31 kernels. That wasn't there last week - which is odd. I have collected a set of parts that work here by using an earlier initrd than the ones built today (which have modprobe-itis) and uploaded them to: http://balloonboard.org/files/balloon3/distro/rel-v0.99/binaries/ so that Charles can stop faffing. However there is a 'but': I can confirm that that fpga.bin, bootldr, zImageInitrd (NOR kernel/installer) all work fine and will take the emdebianrootstrap there and unpack/configure/repack/install it. The (nand) kernel there boots too, but something is still amiss because I get an 'unable to open console' whinge and chrooting into it from the initrd causes a segfault. So, the above 'release' is enough to install rootfses with, but doesn't include a rootfs that actually works. That probably counts as progress, but is not quite what you asked for. I give up for tonight. More tomorrow. Clearly this is not yet release-worthy. Wookey -- Principal hats: iEndian - Balloonboard - Toby Churchill - Emdebian http://wookware.org/
