Dear all, I have a problem regarding the yaffs fs checking utility. My embedded machine runs under Linux (Debian distribution) 2.4.19-rmk4(v2_11). We use a NAND flash device (512k byte per page) divided in 4 partitions. The first two (2MB each) contains a special FW and zImage of the kernel; The third one contains a yaffs file system image. The system works correctly for several days. After this period the kernel begins to give strange messages and at the reboot the fourth partition cannot be mounted. We think that it could depend from bad tracks management. At system boot I can read an error message on the console: "... fsck v1.27 .... fsck error: fsck.yaffs not found error 2 while executing fsck ... " and if you check under /sbin dir fsck.yaffs file does not exist...(?) I have looked for the package under Debian web site with no success. Can you help me in finding .deb package of this utility OR another utility that makes the same check on the file my yaffs filesystem ? Thank you in advance... Virgilio Villatora Eng.
