What is the difference between taking an image or snapshot in YAFFS?

The snapshot mechanism has been explained in the "How YAFFS Works" file(page 23-24). But, what does happen when someone take an image of

YAFFS?(Is there any difference in its mechanism in comparison to snapshot?)
