Is scanning a recovery technique in the YAFFS? If no,is recovery from the log structure(in occurance of power failure for example) the only recovery operation?

and another question(not related to the title),As I understood, there is no difference in storing data and metadata in the yaffs. Am I right?(chunks divide to data and object header. Is the second one, all the metadata information for data?)
