Would anyone please tell me how yaffs works with nand emulator?

YAFFS2 source code contains the 'mtdemul' folder that contains 'nandemul2k.c' file. but I found no reference to its functions or even the C file! So, How yaffs communicate with nand(or nor) with no reference to it?
