[Yaffs] yaffs on 2.6

Hi all ,
i am a newbie trying to make yaffs a normal file system on 2.6.13.
Can anyone tell me how to go about it ??
I have tried using yaffs patch available at 
http://www.aleph1.co.uk/cgi-bin/viewcvs.cgi/yaffs/

if anyone has tried doing it do help me about how to do it.
