Following on my "boom" report, this is the detail of how to reproduce it.
I co'd a clean yaffs CVS image. I modified only the KERTNEL_DIR bits in the
makefiles and built new images.
I copied these to the target (TCL Balloon 2.01 SA1110) board.
I then cleared the nand target device (32MB Smartmedia) with mkyaffs
/dev/mtd/5 and insmod'd yaffs.o
I mounted -t yaffs /dev/mtdblock/5 onto /usr/local.
ls of /usr/local is fine.
mkdir /usr/local/bin is fine.
ls of /usr/local is fine showing bin
ls of /usr/local/bin is boom (null dereference)
>From previous trials this seems to be independant of generic rw. It seems to
be while vfs is traversing the list of inodes and not directly within the
yaffs code itself.
Charles - if you can fix this tonight I'll test the "funny file" issue
before the weekend as I am "on call" till Monday (I am also a Vet in my
spare time but I think you knew that).
