A "chunk" is the same as a page and includes both the data and the spare/oob area.
There are many chunks to one block.


The reason I use the term "chunk" instead of page is to make an abstraction between physical NAND flash entities and "logical" ones used in YAFFS. This is done so that in the future it is easier to think about using chunks of , say, 1kB with pages of 512 bytes (ie. Two NAND pages == one YAFFS chunk).

For now, however you can just think of chunk and page as the same thing.
