I am informed via a contact to the head of marketing in Samsung that the 1GBit .. 16GBit devices will all be 2k page size but on an 8 bit bus.
Yaffs2 is therefore still relevant but OneNAND (or other custom hardware ecc accelerators) may become more tempting for increased throughput.
