[Yaffs] Unable to incorporate yaffs2 in linux

Hi,
I am trying to compile linux - 2.6.28.9 with yaffs2 support. I downloaded
the yaffs2 source and proceeded as mentioned in yaffs2/README-linux-patch.
The files- config and makefile - are altered and yaffs2 is added in kernel
tree. However when I do a "make- menuconfig", I do not find the yaffs2
option at all. How do I incorporate it? Is there anything else to be done?
