I've seen (and reported) something like this before.
To confirm if it's the same problem, what is the file system type on the
target system. Is it a YAFFS1 or a YAFFS2 files system ?
If it's YAFFS1 then you need to look at the TODO comment in
yaffs_change_obj_name().
I think busybox is a red herring, been using 1.18.1 & 1.18.2 without
problem here.
