I was able to fix my problem by adding the following code to nandmtd2_write_chunk_tags() function:
struct yaffs_dev *dev_copy;
dev_copy = kmalloc(sizeof(struct yaffs_dev), GFP_KERNEL);
if (dev_copy) {
memcpy(dev_copy, dev, sizeof(struct yaffs_dev));
yaffs_trace(YAFFS_TRACE_OS, "made a copy of device structure");
}
.
.
.
.
kfree(dev_copy);
I am not sure why this worked.
