That was the plan, although I'm not sure about thicker CF cards
(which, admittedy, you have to trim the edges of teh CF socjket to
make fit). Unless you're really, really pushed for height, why
would you want to rule out components under the CF socket?
That's useful space, even if you limit yourself to 1mm, that gets
you many QFP packages, decouplers, and all manner of useful
things.
