Definitely worth investigating the power supply to the slot. It really
isn't beefy enough for some cards. Can you stick a 'scope on teh
rail, and see if it ever dips. (The PSU chip has a current limit which
is pretty rigorously enforced). Since you get to use all the low-
power aspects of the card, but it keels over when you try to use
the radio sections, this is all consistent.
