So far as he could tell it didn't make any real difference to the
problems we found with the hardware/driver in practice.

Pass. Tests illustrating an issue have ben balloon/windows mostly. Not
sure if balloon/linux has been properly tested yet (it initially
appeared to work, but you don't notice a problem if all you do is dhcp
and transfer a tiny file. You need to shift a file of more than a
couple of K.

Yep - anything non-trivial illustrates with 2 of them back/back. Not
sure how much you need to notice an issue with just one.
