[Yaffs] Move yaffs source control to git?

Hi All

We have been discussing moving from cvs to git in early 2010. git has superior
branching/merging and offline working characteristics should improve workflow
especially for Linux users. I'll certainly benefit being in NZ with the
server in UK, as well as having better management of my various development
branches [I'm sometimes working on 4 or more issues in parallel].

There will still be a web interface through gitweb or similar as well as the
ability to get tarballs via the web. I think most people apart from a few
developers tend to use this interface, so likely there would not be any
negative impact and nothing new to learn.

If anyone has concerns, please air them so that we make the right choices.
