OK. I can confirm that a 2.6.29.1 kernel with that fix works just fine
on 8Gb/4Kpage nand. It also works fine on older nand (only tested with
CPLD board so far, but it's very unlikely to cause breakge. As soon as
it's checked on FPGA boards I'll put the patch back in the default
series so 8Gb nand doesn't bite anyone still using this kernel later.

Bootldr cannot erase blocks or write to 8Gb/4Kpage nand yet, although
we have fixed a few minor bugs.
